This is my favorite quote because it is very true. If you live your life being afraid to even try anything, you will never enjoy life. If everyone lived their life being afraid to try new things the world wouldn't be anything.
Take Columbus for example. He said that the world was round when everyone thought it was flat. If he was afraid to voyage out and find out for himself, we probably wouldn't have found out that the world was round until way later.
Yeah, many people get hurt by taking risks but I'm sure its worth it. Now some people are just stupid and do stupid things but thats not what i'm talking about. I wanted to go to Ghost town in the mountains but the catch was that i had to ride the skylift ALONE. Yeah, I was scared but i knew when i got to the top of the mountain i would be really happy with myself.
If you never try new things and venture out and live your life, you never really live at all. :)

I love this quote because it tells about the excuses that people give for not being the best that they can be. It shows that it is our duty to be all of the things that we can be because that is what God called us to do.
When I first heard this quote, it made me stop and think about the meaning of it. It has inspired me to be the best that I can be all of the time. Whenever I read this quote, it reminds me all this work will pay off in the end. Because education helps you open your eyes to see all that people have done in the past, and envision all that we can do in the future. That we, as people, hold the power to make us into who we want to be.

Not having to worry about making mistakes and the views judgmental people might have on those mistakes, relieves a whole lot of stress from me. This quote has allowed me to come and understand that everyone messes up and that it's okay.

Also, I think it means that all limits you think you have you have put on yourself. This means that when you say "No man can eat 50 eggs" you are essentially saying "I can't eat 50 eggs". This same attitude can be translated to "I can't pass this test" and "I can't finish this project". And you are not going to do anything, with an I can't attitude.
If you have the attitude of cool hands Luke, you will say "I can eat 50 eggs". Because once you have an outlook like that , no one can stop you, because you have not stopped you. I think it is very important to believe in yourself. Once you believe in yourself, you can eat 50 eggs.

ReplyDeleteI really like this quote because, it is very relatible and can be applied to almost anything you do. It basically means that if you tell yourself you can do something your going to do it. But, if you tell yourself that you can't, or your not good enough, you won't do it.
This quote really inspires me when I feel defeated, or I'm about to give up. This is why this qoute is my favorite.
